That doesn’t mean you should pass up a trip to Orlando with your kids and grandkids this year. No matter what your age or appetite for adventure, this city still has plenty of thrills in store for you! Epcot® Most travel sites say that Epcot is the most adult-oriented theme park in this city that lives and breathes entertainment. Reports Frommers.com, “Shop, stroll, and dine your way through the nations of the World Showcase, take a behind-the-scenes tour of the park’s horticulture or architecture, or explore the technological- and scientific-themed attractions of Future World.” “Do not miss The Land [in Future World],” writes Orlando Vacations. “This new attraction [Soarin’] provides guests with a phenomenal flyover of California. The movement is quite gentle, just an initial lift followed by a slight swaying of the seats in tandem with the film. Sights, sounds, movement, and even smell combine for a truly amazing experience.” SeaWorld® Voted number one Orlando theme park for seniors by the Undercover Tourist blog, this marine-based zoological and theme park is renowned for its spectacular shows, particularly “One Ocean” and “Blue Horizons.” “Seniors will enjoy the animal encounters, the 360-degree view of Orlando from Sky Tower and the numerous places to cool off,” the blogger recommends. A 65-year-old traveller on TripAdvisor agrees: “The exhibits (shark tunnel, manatees, Arctic, penguins, etc.) were well-done. Enjoy the fascinating behind-the-scenes special effects shows beforehand and then make a quick exit before boarding the ride. More advice A day at any theme park requires that you cover a whole lot of ground. It’s important to wear comfortable shoes and take lots of breaks. But if walking is a challenge for you, all parks offer wheelchair and ECV (motorized scooter) rentals. And if you’re also not up for the lines, check out the FastPass+ at Epcot, Quick Queue Unlimited at SeaWorld or Express Pass at Universal Studios to significantly reduce wait times.
